You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Like the Guangbin Li Nian Roadster
So here’s a one of a kind car for your viewing enjoyment: the Guangbin Li Nian Roadster. Now, if you are like me, you may have never heard of the Li Nian brand before. The brand is the result of a joint venture existing between well known Honda and a localized automaker called Guangzhou Auto. The Roadster, which is a concept vehicle, was unveiled at the auto show in Shanghai, although it received its first showing late in 2008, during the Guangzhou Auto Show.
It is considered solely a design study, which is meant to illustrate the direction the Li Nian brand hopes to take. The target will be young buyers — hopefully. As many reviewers have pointed out, the vehicle mimics many others created in the Chinese market, in that it lacks some refinement.
The Hummer HX Concept: Hot or Not?
I will be the first to admit that I just do not understand the appeal of a Hummer as a consumer vehicle. Who the hell needs a Hummer, really? Do you plan to come across enemy fire in rush hour traffic? Think you might have to go medieval on another soccer mom?
I see their aesthetic appeal, but I cringe every time a Hummer comes rolling up beside me on the highway. I always envision the driver going all Marge Simpson and suddenly crushing all the other, slow moving vehicles under his or her ginormous wheels.
That being said, this is the Hummer HX concept. What does it have? Well, it can acclimate to a variety of different trail conditions, just in case you decide to tackle the Rockies or something — or to climb up on all those minivans stopped at a light, I guess. Fits plenty of cargo needs, check. And it is supposedly ideal to deal with various “passenger whims.” Those are what scare me.
Honda SkyDeck Concept: Definitely Hot!
Honda is one of those companies that honestly – is constantly changing and updating and that is something that I absolutely love about them. You never – ever know what to expect from Honda and that is something that rocks! If you are familiar with Honda products – you should definitely take a look at their newest concept design, the Honda SkyDeck Concept.
This particular concept is one that I am really looking forward to. Not only does the Honda SkyDeck Concept look extremely futuristic, but it is also one that actually seats about six people – which is huge!
Another thing that I love about the Honda SkyDeck Concept is the entire front-end as well as the windshield. I think that this concept is going to become a reality.
The Bugatti Galibier Is Bold and Beautiful
The Bugatti Galibier concept was presented recently at Molsheim in France. It is meant to be one of the most elegant, powerful, and exclusive cars in all the world — if not the most.
There are a lot of special factors about this vehicle — which there would have to be, of course, if it is meant to be so special (read: outrageously expensive).
It was inspired by several other vehicles and it was named, in part, after a very difficult pass found along the famed Tour de France.
It is made out of aluminum, as well as carbon fiber parts which are handmade and colored a dark blue.
Looks Like Taurus Is Rising!
I have probably said this before — I am not the biggest fan of Ford cars ever born. In the past I have especially not been a fan of the Ford Taurus. Earlier models, in addition to being big and bulky, it sort of looked like a copy cat — the headlights made it look like an overblown, bloated Neon. Now, I love Neons, but they sort of look like they are trying to look like the poor man’s Porsche a lot of the time, so the Taurus got a double fault. It’s sort of how bands like Creed started trying to sound like Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam, and then a new generation of hacks (like “Daughtry,” amirite?) started trying to copy Creed’s sound.
But anyway! The new 2010 Ford Taurus doesn’t bug me too badly. It’s not solely for family drivers any longer, and the style shows that. It looks a bit more modern — and all I can say is, it’s about time!
Choosing The Right Car For You!
Now that the Cash 4 Clunkers program is over, I have to say that I find myself thinking that I should’ve looked for a brand new car when I had the chance … however that got me thinking about what I want in a car. If you are in the position of shopping for a brand new car, what do you want out of your car? Well, that is a question that you need to ask yourself.
Choosing a car for you is something that is difficult and hard – it is not a decision that you really want to take lightly. That is the reason why you need to do your research. Researching the brands of cars that you want or even the models is absolutely something you should do even before you go to the dealer!
Buying a car is huge and while I am not quite sure what I want yet – I am doing my research and gathering my data!
The Astounding Opel/Vauxhall Astra
Images of the new, stylish Opel/Vauxhall Astra have not been around for all that long. After all, the hatchback with five doors will not be unveiled until later this month, at the motor show in Frankfurt. The vehicle was created at the GM design studio in Europe. It is the sixth generation of this particular silhouette, which leads by the cab, features a steep windscreen, and has a sloping roof in the rear.
However, contrary to its predecessors, it is longer, at 4400 millimeters; the wheelbases are 71 millimeters longer.
The design cues are purposely similar to those seen in the Insignia, both inside of the vehicle and outside of it.
Some things are different, however, meant to be innovative. These include the light signatures, which are shaped like wings, as well as the reversed blade on the flank of the vehicle.
Ford Boosts Production Of F-150, Escape: Thanks To C4C!
Ford is one of the only automakers that has not only one that has lasted through all of the bankruptcy times and now – now, they are certainly churning out some of the quality products. Cash for Clunkers is certainly a program that has churned out a profit for Ford and I think that is actually awesome. August sales for Ford have been at their highest for the year and that is truly incredible.
However, there are two trucks actually that have jumped up in sales. The F-150 as well as the Escape are two trucks that have sky-rocketed in the sales department, which has sent production into overtime … which means that more jobs and more jobs are going to be created and calling back, which is fantastic!
Right now, 10,000 units are needed for the F-150’s, which is great and truly puts the workers back up to full-time!
The 2010 Devon GTX: It’s Brand Spankin’ New!
When I think of a sports car – the first car that usually comes to mind is the Ford Mustang … honestly, that is almost the first sports car that I think I have seen up close however, now the 2010 Devon GTX is the one car that I think is going to come to mind. This beautiful car is an American-made supercar that was debuted on Pebble Beach.
The great thing about the 2010 Devon GTX is the carbon fiber body because it is super light and the engine is absolutely incredible. It is a 8.4-liter V10 – yes, you read that right a V10 engine that can put forth about 650 HP to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. The 2010 Devon GTX is going to be the car of the year in my book – it can honestly go super fast and it looks pretty friggin’ sweet as well!
So if you have about $500,000.00 just laying around, the 2010 Devon GTX is going to be the car for you … seriously!
