Ford unveils Blue Angels-inspired Mustang GT for Wisconsin event
Since 2006, American car giant Ford Motor Company has continued to wow the automobile world, or the whole world for that matter, with their unique Mustang GT models year after year which are revealed during the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. This aviation event holds the title of the world’s greatest and biggest aviation celebration. This year’s Mustang GT design honors the Blue Angels Naval Aviation Team.
The design for this year’s Mustang GT took inspiration from the F-18 Hornet aircraft of the Blue Angels. The Mustang GT model boasts of a stunning chrome blue exterior finish with eye-catching yellow stripes. Of course, the GT model also carries the Blue Angels crest and script on the exterior. The GT’s racing seats also features the Blue Angels crest.
The Blue Angels-inspired Mustang GT model is equipped with screen images for easy navigation, safety belts made of fabric, and top performance gauges. Furthermore, when you open the doors, the puddle lamps reveal images of jet planes to pay tribute to the Blue Angels. The Mustang GT carries a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 Ford Racing engine that comes with 624 horsepower or 465 kW / 632 PS. The model car is also given a Ford Racing racetrack brakes, a handling pack, and performance exhaust for ultimate performance.
The Blue Angels 2012 Mustang GT will be auctioned on July 28, 2011 with all the benefits awarded to the EAA Young Angels that has been providing almost 1.6 million young people with introductory flight training since the year 1992.
A Sneak Peek at the 2010 Chrysler Sebring
There have been a lot of mixed reviews where past models of the Chrysler Sebring has been concerned. Personally, I myself have always been a fan. There is just something about the car, especially in convertible form, that really appeals to me. But, that being said, let’s see what popular opinion is about the new model, which has just been seen through a series of sneak peeks.
In the past, drivers were of the opinion that former models of the Sebring looked like it had been designed and put together by a league of badly trained monkeys — pretty harsh, huh? But Chrysler seemed to agree, and they cut a sort of deal with their fans — they promised to redo the car.
Now, as to the 2010 model, well, some reviewers think that Chrysler failed to improve the car, and some believe they succeeded. So really, this is a personal debate. But still, I’d love one of the convertibles.
Ferrari California GT
The official pics of the California GT have been released and soon enough it will be launched at the Paris Motor Show in October. This mid-sized roadster will only be built as a convertible with Ferrari’s first folding hardtop.
Ferrari always being renowned for its power and performance does not disappoint with the California GT with its 4,3 litre direct injection V8 engine producing 460bhp, mounted in the mid-front. This prancing horse can reach 0-100km/h in less than 4 seconds.
