Peugeot Reveals First Pickup

peugeot-hoggarA French pickup truck.

That seems like the kind of phrase that should never be put together in quite that order, but there you have it.

The French automaker recently revealed its very first pickup truck, the Hoggar.

The name comes from a concept that Peugeot unveiled all the way back in 2003.

However, the truck is not designed for a French market. Instead, the truck was actually designed in Brazil, specifically for Brazilians.

It was designed and adapted to the needs of its target market.

Brazilians can be on the lookout for the launch on May 15.

No, You Cannot Listen to Music on the “i-Flow”

hyundai-i-flow-conceptThis is Hyundai’s new concept.  They try to alternately call it the HED-7, but it is a bit too little, too late for that.

Know what the concept’s real name is?

It is the i-Flow.

Yeah.  Take a moment to process that.  Goodness knows I needed about sixty of them.

This is one of the things I hate.  I know that, by and large, the automotive industry is as low and deceptive as the fashion industry.  They will say anything to get you to buy.

But just as, yes, every regular woman’s butt will look big in the newest animal print latex design from the designer flavor of the month, a lot of people will still be duped into buying a plastic outfit and an admittedly stylish but still mostly ordinary car because of its name.

The i-Flow.  Hyundai is smart.  People kill one another for iPhones.  They steal from one another if it means getting the newest iPod.  Obviously, Hyundai has learned a thing or two from the Apple phenomenon.

Toyota Is Getting Hit … Hard.

par3088390optToyota has had a rough year and we are only at the end of month two!  With the 8 million vehicles being recalled though, this particular company has had quite the time keeping their customers and this month showed it.  In January, the company was hit hard by their customers and now – now in February, they are actually hit a lot harder.

More and most customers are losing their faith in Toyota and honestly, that is hurting them a lot.  While the news may not be new, Toyota is still one of the top automakers in the world right now … they are just hitting a bad spot is all.

Here is hoping that Toyota is going to be able to recover in March and that the top automaker is going to keep its spot!

Ridin’ High with Citroen

citroen-ds-high-rider-conceptI do not know if I have adequately professed this before, but I am generally a fan of many European cars. Specifically, I have a soft spot for Citroen models, so you can imagine my delight when I stumbled upon a new concept, the Citroen DS High Rider.

This picture is among the very first photographs recently revealed of the concept, which will be officially unveiled at Geneva’s eightieth annual motor show. It is only the second concept design in the DS line, which is a new one for Citroen. It is classified as a compact crossover, with a design aesthetic meant to mix a coupe’s elements with a compact, smaller sort of SUV.

Better still? It has a diesel engine that works in tandem with a totally electric motor.

Honda Introduces New Concept for India Market

honda-new-small-conceptGood news is coming for the automobile market in India. Honda’s subsidiary company in India, Honda Siel Cars India Limited, is set to reveal a new concept at the auto show slated to begin in New Delhi at the beginning of the new year.

The Honda New Small Concept, as you can see, looks absolutely stunning. I am sure many of us would be happy to see it in both Europe and the United States, but c’est la vie.

The compact concept will likely make its debut in both India and Thailand in 2011. It has many design elements characteristic of Honda. Further, its theme comes from the Efficient Energetic Exterior concept.

The idea behind the small, compact car is to exceed the expectations of today’s driver, while providing a very affordable vehicle. Hear, hear!

Lamborghini LP570-4 SVEven though the Detroit Auto Show is right around the corner, Lamborghini is gearing up for the 2010 Geneva show and they are going to be presenting some of their best work – the brand new Lamborghini LP570-4 SV.  This high-performance car is honestly something that is not only beautiful but sought after too.

We are told that this particular car is going to have a bump up of 10 HP so that will make the Lamborghini LP570-4 SV have about 570 HP and that will be distributed to all four wheels.

The tripped down interior is going to be awesome and make this particular car that much more luxurious and certainly that much lighter and faster!

The Brand New 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is!

2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35isIf you have kept up on your BMW news then you know that BMW have launched the brand new  Z4 earlier this year and now … I am actually going to do some reporting on it!  The brand new 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is is actually one of the coolest BMW’s that I have ever seen.  Not only does the 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is boast about being faster than the Z4, but I can tell you that the 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is is going to be extremely popular too.

The 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35 can get up to about 60mph in just about 4.7 seconds … which to me is absolutely incredible!  The speed that BMW has packed into this car is awesome and I can tell you from experience that the overall feel of the 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is is like nothing that you have ever experienced.

If you want a once in a lifetime experience in a sports car, the 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is is definitely the car for you!

Feast Your Eyes on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe

mercedes-benz-e-class-coupeAs many of you are probably aware, a while ago Mercedes-Benz decided to replace the aging but iconic CLK coupe. They did so at last year’s motor show in Geneva. The replacement car? The stunning Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe. It is a two door car with a very distinct and sporty design aesthetic — much more so than both the CLK it is replacing and the sedan on which it is based.

The front face of the car, however, is pretty much identical to that sedan. However, the headlamps, shaped like a rhombus, are more incisive, especially where the contours are concerned.

The car’s silhouette is wonderfully rakish and the inside is no less luxurious. The seats are trimmed in leather, the back rests are high, and the car has an “easy entry” type of function, making it much easier to get in and out.
